This policy explains what information I collect when you visit nicolacodes.com and how it is used.
1. Who I Am
This site is operated by Nicola Riker Urdaneta ("nicolascribbles"), a freelance design-engineer based in Colorado Springs, CO. For questions about this policy, reach me at nicola@rikerweb.com.
2. Information I Collect
Contact form submissions. When you submit the contact form, I collect your name, email address, company name (optional), project description, and any pricing calculator selections you choose to include.
Bot protection. This site uses Cloudflare Turnstile to verify form submissions are from real humans. Turnstile may collect limited technical data (e.g., browser type, interaction patterns) to generate a challenge token. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Hosting and server logs. This site is hosted on infrastructure that may automatically collect standard server logs (IP address, browser user-agent, pages requested, timestamps). These logs are used for security monitoring and are not shared with third parties.
Analytics. If analytics are enabled, they may collect anonymized usage data such as page views, referral sources, and general geographic region. No personal identifiers are stored in analytics.
3. How I Use Your Information
- To respond to project inquiries and communicate about potential work.
- To send project estimates and follow-up correspondence you initiated.
- To protect the site against spam and abuse (via Turnstile).
- To maintain and improve the site's performance and security.
I will never sell your personal information or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
This site uses the following third-party services that may process data on my behalf:
- SendGrid (Twilio) — for delivering email notifications from the contact form.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — for bot protection on form submissions.
- Sanity.io — headless CMS for site content (does not process visitor data).
5. Data Retention
Contact form submissions are retained in my email inbox for the duration of our professional relationship or until you request deletion. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data I hold about you at any time by emailing nicola@rikerweb.com. I will respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies
This site uses minimal cookies for essential functionality (e.g., theme preference). Cloudflare Turnstile may set a cookie during challenge verification. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
8. Changes to This Policy
I may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
